Steven Cali is a 22 year old singer/songwriter born and raised in Upstate New York. He specializes in outlaw/modern country. Steven's love for playing started when his older brother taught him a single cord on the guitar, and he taught himself the rest. His eighth grade year, he won his school's talent show with an instrumental rendition of 'Black Bird' by The Beatles. It wasn't until another 2 years later that he started singing.
Steven began his music career his senior year of high school, playing shows every weekend around the Syracuse area. After he graduated he began working full time at Plainville Turkey Farms, as well as continuing to play 2-3 shows a week, expanding his playing to all of Central New York. Steven plays acoustically, as well as with his own band 'Steven Cali Band'.
Since then, Cali has only gone up. He no longer has to rely on the farm to provide for his fiance and 2 young chilren. Steven was able to leave the farm in 2018, and focus solely on music as a way to provide for his family. He has toured a total of 13 states and counting, opened for Country Artists such as Rodney Atkins, Phil Vassar, Drake White, and Shooter Jennings. Steven has had multiple spotlight interviews on CNY's News Channel 9 with Carrie Lazarus, his first ever album won him the title of 'Best Country Album 2018' at the Syracuse Area Music Awards (The Sammy's). Steven is also in the process of releasing a total of 6 new singles that he cut and recorded in Nashville, Tennessee with the generous help of an anonymous investor. The first two have already been made public on all music platforms, titled 'Just Like Us' and 'Over The Moon'. Steven continues to tour and write music in Nashville.
““Steven Cali has a traditional country sound coupled with his own fresh spin. He’s got a voice you can’t teach and an honest vulnerability that comes through in every performance.”” - Kathleen Mason
